This Glen Echo Country Club wedding was everything you could hope for – they danced into the night under the stars at the oldest golf club west of the Mississippi. The history of the place was pretty neat and you could see the guests reading the old newspaper articles framed on the walls taking it all in. We started the day at her family home just around the corner from the church where they both attend mass. Tears streamed down her face the moment she laid eyes on him and she walked down the aisle holding onto her father. Throughout the ceremony the sun beamed through the windows bringing an energy to the life they were starting together.
There is something really telling about two people when they don’t think anyone is paying attention. That’s how you really tell who people are. It’s the moments in between that make Lauren and Jeff so special. In the brief moments that the attention faded off of them he gently pulled her in by the waist and planted a sweet gentle kiss on her forehead. She smiled with a calm and a comfort that only came from him. It was as though every care in the world faded from her and all was well. It is my sincere hope for these two that through the peaks and the valleys of their days together that they continue to find those moments of peace and comfort with each other.
While it is difficult to conceive that days can get better than this one – they will. I can’t see what life has in store for them! Jeff and Lauren – you guys can come over anytime and we can hang out and eat fresh baked breads and drink craft beer!
Big shout out to Sherry Lane who was the second shooter on this fabulous day!
